No foolin’ – join the Stones River National battlefield staff, volunteers and the Friends of the Stones River National Battlefield, Saturday, April 1 from 8:30 till 12:30 Murfreesboro’s Old Fort Park and help clean the area around Fortress Rosecrans.
If you have an hour, we’ll take an hour!
Stones River National Battlefield and more than a dozen local partners invite you to join thousands of volunteers as we work together to preserve Civil War, Revolutionary War, and War of 1812 battlefields and historic sites across the nation on Saturday April 1, 2017.
Registration begins at 8:30 AM at Picnic Pavilion #2 in Murfreesboro’s Old Fort Park. The Friends of the Stones River National Battlefield and Walmart will provide lunch for all volunteers at 12:30 PM, and the first 250 registrants will receive a Park Day t-shirt.
You can join more than 200 local volunteers as we work to remove invasive exotic plants and trash from Fortress Rosecrans, Old Fort Park and the Lytle Creek Greenway.
If you’re looking for some family fun while helping care for our community’s rich history and natural resources, come on out and join the team.

What Will We Do: Remove invasive exotic plants and trash from Fortress Rosecrans, Old Fort Park and the Lytle Creek Greenway.
Volunteers should wear long sleeve shirts, long pants and closed toe shoes. Please also bring work gloves and a water bottle if you have them.
