Senator Andy Womack will be sharing his experiences from Central high School, to his service in Vietnam, to his twelve years as a senator in the Tennessee General Assembly.
Andy and his family moved to Murfreesboro in 1957 when Andy where Andy attended Hobgood Elementary and graduated from Central High School.
Andy attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville before joining the U.S. Army from 1966-68, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant while serving on a ‘Amtrac’ in the jungles of Vietnam.
Once Andy completed his service in Vietnam, Andy returned to Murfreesboro, graduating from MTSU before becoming a State Farm Insurance agent in 1981.
From 1988-2000, Andy served Rutherford County as a senator in the Tennessee General Assembly.
