More than 110 attendees enjoyed the narrative of Jack Hinson of Civil War fame Monday night at the Rutherford County Archive Building, 435 Rice Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Judge Ben Hall McFarlin shared how Jack Hinson of Dover, Tennessee was never a man with whom to trifle.
The judge shared how two of Hinson’s sons were murdered by Federal occupation troops during the Civil War and how Hinson exacted his own form of revenge.
McFarlin also shared how the rifle ended up in Rutherford County, more specifically in the hands of the Woodfin and McFarlin family.
