MISS WEAVER’S PRIVATE SCHOOL fall 1919-spring 1922 was held in two rooms of her home in the 600 block of Lytle Street.
Because the Board of Trustees of TENNESSEE COLLEGE had decided to eliminate the primary grade program in which she had taught, Miss Weaver opened the school for grades one through three. The second and third grade children had already been her students in grade one.
In the school were: Jean Fleming Blitch, Carol Cox Brandon, Mary Frances Hooper Brandon, Inky Christy Burgdorf, Ellen Earthman Cantrell, Frosty Earthman Cates, Julia Cannon Clark, Annie Clayton Harrison, Mary B. Jetton Haynes, Ruth Jenkins, Mary Fletcher Lee, Kate C. Bell Mifflin, Frances
