The Old Goldstein’s and Murfreesboro Bank and Trust Buildings on the Square Saved from the Wrecking Ball

Goldstein’s Department Store occupied this building on the south side of the Square in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The old Murfreesboro Bank and Trust building that most recently housed the Rutherford County District Attorney’s office may soon be purchased. The building is vacant since the county built the new Judicial Center and moved the courts. Rutherford County Mayor Bill Ketron stated…

Another building on the square that has received lots of conversation is the old Goldstein’s building. At one point, the county was looking at tearing it down. The building holds the county codes and election commission offices. Ketron told WGNS…

Again, both the old bank building and the Goldstein’s building on the square have been saved from the wrecking ball.
